My New Meetup Group

I am very excited to announce that I have become the organizer for a meetup group here in Las Vegas, NV! If you live in Las Vegas, you may want to consider joining this free group:  
 
Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives currently has over 1,000 members and I'm hoping to experience growth.  As the new organizer,  I have already added a variety of activities.

About Statement
We are a versatile group that is organized for the purpose of bringing people together! Our activities go far beyond dining out, so if you enjoy life and like to experience new things, this is the group for you. Events will include travel, theater, happy hour, playing board games, potlucks and BBQ's, mild hikes, dancing, sightseeing, and more. 
 
What's Up
Currently, we have a weekly event scheduled well into 2023, thanks to organizer Patty Z.  She hosts this ongoing event every Thursday. Join Patty and the gang for lunch and Rummikub at Miller's Tavern in Summerlin.  In addition, I have an event that will take place monthly, a game day at Meepleville Cafe.  My group is being welcomed by the Cafe with open arms. They are allowing us a 50% discount off of the entrance fee. Therefore, your admission will only be $5 and your pass is good for the entire day.  Join us at Meepleville and enjoy their library of over 2600 games. Also look for our monthly game night at Jason's Deli. They have graciously offered their conference room!

Right now, we have two events posted for dining out. If you are interested in hosting an event at your favorite local restaurant, please let me know via meetup messaging. I'll be happy to post your event for you.

Las Vegas Fun Times is my new baby! In all honesty, I wasn't ready to launch this new meetup group. Much to my surprise, when I stepped-up to the plate to become the Organizer of  "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives!", the new group went live. Yikes! It had been sitting in "draft" mode since early April.  Needless to say, I began my day scrambling to get things up to par. With the graphic in place and my intro complete (at least for now), I posted my first event, Happy Hour at The Hawthorn Grill. As luck would have it, a dear friend is celebrating her 70th birthday this month.  I'm very hopeful that this will be a memorable birthday for my Vegas sister.   Getting back to giving birth to a new group, I'm excited once again! DMV of NV - Do Your Job Please FIRST : If you live in Las Vegas, NV, do not go to the DMV on a Saturday!   I have talked with several people that went to the DMV on a Saturday.  One woman told me the first time she went, she arrived at 5:00AM per a friend's advice. The line was wrapped around the entire building. The next visit, she arrived at 3:00AM, and there was still a line. If you are attempting to make an appointment online and the appointment system can not be accessed, please wait until it is available. No appointments can be made via phone call or online chat session.    NV Residents: If your plates or DL is expired, you will need to apply for a "Movement Permit" but keep in mind that movement is restricted. Miller's Tavern in Vegas July 7, 2022

Miller's Tavern is a great place to chill out. Sitting on a well-groomed golf course called Palm Valley,  it's located in the Sun City Community in Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV.  This is an adult community and requires that at least one member of the household must be at least 55 years of age and no household member can be under 18. Needless to say, it's a quiet and peaceful place. Today, I met with a group of 18 people at Miller's for lunch and play time. The group's favorite game is Rummikub, a tile-based game for 2-4 players. It's a great past-time on a hot, summer day in the desert.  About Miller's Tavern If you live in Las Vegas, NV, Miller's is a fun place to dine and enjoy various activities.
