Our Reunion Celebration - Lawry's
Our reunion celebration began with reservations at Lawry's The Prime Rib Las Vegas, a favorite place where Harry and I have celebrated special occasions over years. It's definitely a place to create memorable experiences. The restaurant's art deco design, soft music, and dim lighting create a romantic atmosphere. The service is excellent and the dining is unparalleled.
Dinner started out with cocktails and lobster bisque, one of my favorite starters for a great meal. Lawry's fine lobster bisque is crafted in their kitchen with each order. Your chef proudly wheels it out to you on his silver cart and personally pours the creamy soup mixture over the sauteed lobster. It's delicious!
One of the unique features of Lawry's is their Spinning Bowl Salad. Again, the serving cart is rolled up to your table. Your server spins the silver salad bowl while it's sitting atop of another chilled bowl filled with sparkling ice. Our server spun the salad bowl while narrating the story about the special house dressing; all the while pouring it on a freshly mixed bed of greens. Coupled with the hot bread and whipped butter, this part of the meal is also amazing.
Naturally, our main course was Lawry's Classic Prime Rib Dinner. Your prime rib is cut table-side and served on a warm plate with au jus sauce. Homemade mashed pototoes topped with brown gravy enhance your already perfect meal.
Lawry's complimented us with a mini strawberry bundt cake for two, topped with blueberry compote and a dollop of their whipped cream. My idea of dessert is the banana creme pie, the most popular dessert item on their menu. The fresh bananas, toasted coconut sprinkled on a mound of fresh whipped topping and mixed into the pie's crust too, makes it outstanding.
Needless to say, we brought home several take-out boxes! Tonight's dinner is what you may have already guessed, leftovers from Lawry's.
