What Men Really Want & Fragrance Tips for Women
Men want food and sex, and often in that order. Surprised? We see this quite frequently, but seldom link the two. You're watching a scene in a movie where the couple is having a celebratory dinner at home. The room is filled with romantic music, dimly lit, tapered candles sitting mid-table cast a soft glow upon their perfect faces. He pours the wine, kisses her on the forehead and takes his seat. They toast each other with loving eyes that lock together as they murmur sweet nothings. The very next scene is typically the couple engaging in sex. He swoops her into his arms and they disappear behind the bedroom for part two.
One evening while I was watching a weekly series of "Midsomer Murders", I saw a fine display of how food and sex intertwine. A widowed mother of a teenage daughter made a living by entertaining men in her kitchen. The kitchen's atmosphere was very relaxing and cozy. There in the kitchen, a well-groomed, respectful women was dressed in a cashmere sweater that snuggly wrapped around her breast, a pretty skirt and a matching apron. She prepared a meal for a gentleman as they made small talk and enjoyed a glass of wine. She performed her kitchen tasks as the gentleman eyed her amorously. Small talk led to flirtation during the meal. Flirtation led to a hot, sizzling interlude for dessert. Afterwards, the gentleman rewarded his lady entertainer with a generous gift from his wallet while paying her compliments, wishing he had her in the kitchen of his own home.
What his heart was really yearning for was for his own wife to accommodate him in the same manner his concubine. In his fantasy, he dreams of coming home to his wife in the kitchen of their home where the aroma of a meal is inviting. She greets him in a loving manner, and they chat about his day. The evening unfolds romantically.
Ladies, take one evening a week, or every other week, to plan a romantic dinner at home. It's not unreal, and I did this for my partner of 10 years on a regular basis. His response? It was always our best evening at home. The meal doesn't have to be a gourmet meal. In fact, he'll probably appreciate his favorite dish more than Chef Ramsey's $100 steak dinner. Add the candle light, soft music, and his favorite dress.
Your kitchen can have a romantic look and feel. That's a topic I've been working on for the follow-up to this article. It'll be published soon.
